I have always been fascinated by the interconnection of psyche and body. After an excursion to neuroscience, psychotherapy and yoga have become my studies and practices to find peace of mind, to readjust in difficult times and to mindfully find the path to live according to values.
I have been undergoing the education as a psychological psychotherapist (CBT) since 2017 and am currently working on my doctoral thesis at Charité University Medicine Berlin. Here, I research how yoga can help in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Recently, we published a book about our work: "Yoga bei Angsterkrankungen: Ein Programm für Betroffene und Anleitende" (Esch, Schmidt, Oldenburg & Ströhle, 2022)
Next to anxiety disorders, I have worked with mental health issues such as trauma, depression, stress, borderline personality disorder, addiction and life changes.
