Integrative and Phenomenological
I work integratively, which means that different therapeutic approaches flow into my work: Gestalt and systemic therapy, body therapy and creative methods. In doing so, I deal intensively with the scientific foundation of these methods. Current research findings from neurobiology, cognitive sciences and memory research are incorporated into my work.
Body
Current neuroscientific research provides evidence that personally formative experiences are not always consciously accessible to us later. These include pregnancy, birth, early childhood and also later overwhelming experiences. These are often essential for understanding the current painful symptoms. Actively involving the body as a source of information in therapy can be a way to make repressed knowledge accessible.
Trauma sensitivity
I am dedicated to practicing therapy from a trauma-informed and trauma-sensitive perspective. Through my extensive professional experience in the psychosocial field, I have proactively expanded my knowledge of trauma through self-directed learning and in-service training. When working with individuals affected by trauma, I am adept at recognizing trauma-related symptoms and addressing them in a sensitive, stabilizing, and non-intrusive manner.
Critical of power
I approach my work with a critical perspective, examining power dynamics and societal influences. My therapeutic approach is rooted in intersectionality, where I am acutely aware of the intricate interplay of power structures and their impact. I am dedicated to fostering a power-critical and power-sensitive environment in which we can explore and address the complexities of your experiences.
