In our work, I offer you the approach of depth-psychological psychotherapy, also known as psychodynamic therapy, for adults in my (online) private practice.
For me, a strong and holding therapeutic relationship is based on mutual understanding, clarity and a trustful atmosphere in the therapy room. In psychotherapeutic conversations I am intended to understand individuals in their whole existence and personality; not only through their special individual characteristics, but also regarding their social, historical and cultural backgrounds.
In this respect, one’s relationships to others, to the world around and nature are considerable issues.
My psychodynamic approach aims at remembrance, making a renewed connection to our inner world, (re-)knowing the forgotten deep wishes and living one’s life. Depth-psychological psychotherapy (as a development of psychoanalysis) intends to help individuals develop a deeper understanding and acceptance of themselves.
It is based on the assumption that our (also early) experiences underlie current symptoms, for example depression. That way, the uncovering and exploring of deeper, often unconscious motives bring the opportunity to knowledge of the deep layers underlying our behaviour, cognitions and emotions.
Through our work together we will move towards greater understanding of your self and the impact on your experiences on your life today and unpack the feelings and thoughts that bring you discomfort.
This depth of work allows for greater self acceptance and more control over the decisions you make in your life, leading to a more authentic and comprehensive experience of yourself, while opening up new perspectives, resources and possibilities for action.
