My mission is to help the community face various life challenges by focusing on their strengths and empower to make positive changes. With affirmative therapy, let's celebrate diversity and advocate for social justice.
Welcome! My name is Ruben Seromenho, junior psychologist, Master in Clinical and Health Psychology, specializing in working with the LGBTQI+ community. As a queer person, I am passionate about providing affirming therapy that helps my clients embrace all aspects of their identity and live authentically.
My approach to therapy is based on the principles of affirmative queer therapy, which means that I recognize the unique challenges and experiences that LGBTQI+ individuals may face and work to create a safe and supportive space where they can explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or stigma.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I work closely with my clients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals. I use proven practices to help my clients build resilience, develop coping skills, and overcome challenges related to mental health, relationships, self-esteem, and other areas of their lives.
When I am not working, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my family and pets. I also volunteer for local organizations and participate in community events to promote greater awareness and acceptance of diverse identities.
Thank you for considering me. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey toward greater well-being and self-acceptance.
