Dr. Delaney is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor through the State of Texas. She is also licensed as a Certified Counselor in Canada. Her current clinical work includes individual and family therapy intervention.. She specifically utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Issues addressed are varied and include addictions, sex trafficking victims and trauma, disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues. She has a special interest in patients with self-harm disorders.
She received both her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology and Master of Clinical Psychology from Texas Southern University in Houston, TX. Originally from Canada, she also holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, AB. Dr. Delaney completed both her master’s practicum and doctoral internship through Houston Independent School District Psychological Services Unit where she served on the Crisis Intervention Team. As a team member, she traveled to district schools and provided on site psychological consultations for students who were in need of immediate therapy and crisis care.
