My counseling work is primarily influenced by a psychodynamic perspective with a particular attention to unconscious processes and how they influence your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Together we will explore your inner world and analyze your past and present relationships as well as significant life events to identify patterns and re-enactments that originate from past experiences and influence your present behavior, and may have a negative impact on your well-being. By exploring and uncovering your unconscious motives and desires, we can together reveal why you tend to make certain decisions or behave in a specific way. Whether in a private or professional context. Ultimately, the aim of our work is to increase your ability to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your behavioral patterns in order to strengthen your self-awareness and enable you to make more deliberate choices and live a more satisfying life. Since the most important aspect of a successful working relationship and therapeutic alliance is authenticity as well as mutual trust and honesty, my goal is to provide an unbiased and open space in which every topic or thought can be expressed and addressed no matter how uneasy or disturbing it may feel at first. Thus, during the first session(s) we will get to know each other and find out if we are a good match and want to work together.
