About me

I'm a trained clinical psychologist from Italy who has spent most of her life abroad. Because of my passion for travel, I decided to learn how to face and help expats to deal with challenges (such as loneliness, isolation, low self-esteem, low self-efficacy, language barriers, and desperation) and, at the same time, guide them in discovering their strengths and use those proficiently.

My approach

While my initial approach was rooted in Psychodynamics, my journey has led me to embrace a diverse range of techniques from various disciplines, including counseling, positive psychology, constructivist theories, and gender studies. Alongside these, I frequently integrate methods derived from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. As a result, I would characterize my approach as eclectically informed rather than strictly dynamic. My primary objective is to guide my clients towards realizing their fullest potential beyond mere labels or diagnoses. I am dedicated to assisting each individual in recognizing their intrinsic worthiness of happiness, fulfillment, and personal growth, recognizing the profound uniqueness and value inherent in every person. To actualize this vision, I place significant emphasis not only on identifying sources of pain, but also on understanding the strategies and strengths individuals employ to navigate and conquer these challenges. These inherent strengths become invaluable allies throughout their journey of growth, enabling them to confront and overcome obstacles with confidence and resilience. Recognizing the distinctiveness of each person and the variability of effective methods, I tailor my approach to the individual, considering their unique circumstances, specific challenges, and personal aspirations.
