My approach

Ich möchte Patient*innen dabei unterstützen, pathologische Symptome zu reduzieren, indem wir gemeinsam dysfunktionale Muster identifizieren und versuchen, diese aufzulösen. Dabei lege ich auch einen Fokus auf prägende Kindheitserlebnisse. Ich verwende hauptsächlich Methoden der Kognitiven Verhaltenstherapie (KVT). In kleinteiligen Verhaltensanalysen würden wir gemeinsam versuchen herauszufinden, welche Faktoren das Problem auslösen und aufrechterhalten. Wenn wir dies herausfinden, können wir festlegen, an welchen konkreten Punkten wir ansetzen können, um das Problem zu lösen bzw. klinische Symptome zu reduzieren. Die KVT Techniken werden ergänzt durch moderne dritte Welle Verfahren (z.B. Elemente aus der Schematherapie oder Achtsamkeit).

I try to help clients to reduce pathological symptoms, identify and break dysfunctional patterns, while including a focus on influential childhood experiences. I mainly use methods from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). In detailed behavioral analyses we can try to determine which conditions cause and maintain your problem. After this step we can reflect on which aspects you could focus on in order to solve your problem or reduce clinical symptoms. Furthermore, I combine those classical CBT methods with modern third wave methods (e.g. elements from schematherapy or mindfulness).
My goal is to establish a trusting relationship where you can feel comfortable and open up. In an initial consultation (Erstgespräch), I would listen to your current situation, your difficulties, possible clinical symptoms and your needs. The goal of this session would be to figure out, if therapy is the right fit for you and if so, which type of therapy would be best for your situation.
If we come to the conclusion, that you would benefit from having regular sessions with me and if you feel comfortable with talking to me, we can deepen your inquirys in further conversations.
