About me
Hello,
I'm Sina, a compassionate psychotherapist specializing in systemic couple and family therapy, here to help individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges.
My approach is all about understanding the bigger picture. Together, we can tackle a wide range of issues, from resolving conflicts and managing anxiety to addressing ADHD and family-related concerns. I firmly believe in taking a holistic perspective, delving into the core reasons behind the stressors in your life. Sometimes it's a matter of relationships, and other times, it's about how you interact with the world around you. My experiences as a Suicide Prevention & Crisis Intervention Volunteer, combined with my training in Satir Systemic Family Therapy, have equipped me to build strong connections with you.
Volunteering has always been close to my heart. It began in 2014 when I lived in Kathmandu, Nepal, teaching English to Buddhist Monks. Later, I spent two years volunteering at the Suicide Intervention Line, providing vital support to individuals facing profound mental health challenges. As a Turkish citizen, I felt compelled to assist non-profit organizations like AFAD, volunteering as a First-Hand Responder to aid individuals and families affected by the earthquake in February 2023. To me, support comes in many forms, and I firmly believe that everyone deserves love, understanding, and acceptance.
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect and collaborate with you on your journey to healing and growth.
Warm regards,
Sina

My approach
In 2019, I successfully completed my mindfulness facilitator training at the prestigious University of Toronto, and in 2020, I received specialized training in crisis management, suicide intervention, and self-harm mitigation at the Toronto Distress Centre.
My previous experiences have shaped me into a practitioner with a client-centric approach. Your voice and guidance are at the forefront of our journey together. I view challenges and issues as intricate systems, much like layers waiting to be uncovered and understood. These issues encompass a wide spectrum, ranging from social and emotional aspects to societal, biological, and other biopsychosocial concerns that each of us carries within.
I'm eager to establish a connection and explore the possibilities of our collaboration. Let's embark on this path of discovery and growth together!
