About me

Originally from Australia, I live in London and I am sensitive to the issues experienced by people not living in their country of origin. I have a widespread online practice, with clients living and working all over the world.

My clinical practice includes working with relationship and family issues, depression, anxiety, stress, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bereavement and loss, post-traumatic stress and dissociation.

I am an experienced attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist. In addition to my private practice, I worked for 16 years in the UK National Health Service as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. I am a consultant psychotherapist at the Clinic for Dissociative Studies, as well as teaching on the clinical training programme at the Bowlby Centre in London.

I am a member of the European Association for Psychotherapy and holder of the European Certificate of Psychotherapy, the European-wide standard for psychotherapy training. I am a registered member of the Bowlby Centre, which specialises in attachment-based psychotherapy. I am registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy under registration number 04156164.

My approach

I offer a safe and supportive space for clients sharing difficult personal experiences and feelings. I provide safe, expert talking therapy marked by curiosity, respect and kindness.

I provide psychotherapy from an attachment-based approach within a relational psychodynamic model to help clients improve the quality of their relationships and their life. In essence, I believe the effectiveness of psychotherapy is based on two complementary elements. The first is the understanding and insight that emerges during therapy about repeating patterns in a client's relationships, both current and past. We all carry an internal working model of relationships and often find ourselves repeating patterns in our dealings with other people. The second key element of psychotherapy centres on the healing capacity of a positive and collaborative relationship between client and therapist. Together, these complementary strands of psychotherapy create the conditions in which meaningful change and personal development can take place.
