FREE CONSULTATION CALL. I help identify, and manage your thoughts, and emotional disturbances and behavioural dysfunctions. I believe in the eclectic approach to unveil your subconscious unconsciously
I am a Counselling Psychologist, with a masters in Psychology, Bangalore, India. The specialization in the master program was occupational psychology. However, my fascination towards developmental and child psychology was ever growing and so I did a Diploma in Child Psychology from British learning (Affiliated to Montessori Europe).
Working with children, I observed how they enjoyed art and play. To reach the young minds better, I studied art therapy and graduated with a CTAA certified diploma. As an Art therapist, I researched deeper into the effects of the tools, and techniques. I studied how ‘creative art’ can be used best as a psychotherapeutic experience and bought it into practice.
I also am a CTAA certified Emotional Intelligence (EI) practitioner, constantly trying to make a difference in students. By fusing Art therapy tools along with theories of EI, I have designed curriculums and programs directed to educational organizations.
To reach my clients better, I employ Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) (Certified by Albert Ellis) techniques that helps me identify and restructure clients’ dysfunctional beliefs and constructing more adaptive beliefs, emotions, and behaviors.
As a psychotherapist, I truly believe in the eclectic approach to unveil an individual’s subconscious unconsciously. I believe in adapting different modalities in order to address each client’s needs. This multifaceted approach, enables me as a psychotherapist to identify, and manage client’s cognitive, and emotional disturbances and behavioral dysfunction . I firmly believe in action oriented therapy form. This form of therapy helps me in discovering an unsuspected problem that can create unwanted mental, emotional and physical behaviors and can help improve the quality of life.
Meanwhile, as an art enthusiast, I am always amused by the effect art had on emotions. So, I began exploring the influences it had on the human mind, to learn that art had the power to turn a human to homo sapien to its truest sense.
The name 'homo sapien' we selected for ourselves means 'wise human'. I believe this wiseness can be attained, not just by enhancing the Intelligence quotient, but also by empowering the Emotional quotient.
Hence, I chose art along with other therapeutical tools, as a powerful medium to nurture the emotional intelligence and manage emotional imbalances of individuals. I firmly believe that a strong emotional quotient can guarantee life fulfillment along with success irrespective of other factors.
