About me
I’m a qualified counsellor and coach from Australia. My curiosity about people and what motivated them took me to theatre and film. I’ve been a writer, producer, director and actor for twenty years between Australia, UK, Europe and the USA. Living out of a suitcase showed me the ups and downs of life away from home. I had success and also burnout, anxiety and depression. I started to ask questions about purpose.
I learned meditation through extended time spent on retreat in meditation centres including Plum Village, the Zen Center of Los Angeles, and Zenways in London. I discovered the principles of psychosynthesis and transpersonal psychology. I began to work with the belief that the self wants to live in harmony, rather than be divided and at odds with itself. The more we work with our conditioning and seek to understand it, rather than fight it, the more we are able to live a more fulfilled life in line with what we value most.

My approach
As a counsellor I work with people to experience a more fulfilled life. We work with the whole self - thoughts, yes, and also your physical and emotional experience. An understanding of your whole experience of life helps you to develop a stronger sense of self and a sense of compassion and resilience in difficult times. You’ll feel more able to set your own direction for your life.
As a coach, I work with executive clients in the tech and corporate sectors in the USA and South East Asia. I also work with creative clients from around the world.
I use an approach that combines several therapeutic, coaching and counselling methods to work with your issues and assist your growth.
Psychosynthesis is a foundation of the way I work. Psychosynthesis holds that you are looking to grow and bring inner and outer harmony to your life. As we work on the issues you bring to sessions, we become more aware of emerging conscious and subconscious motivations and questions. As you integrate those parts of yourself coming up for review, it becomes clearer to live a life in alignment with the values that are most important to you.
I also work with mindfulness and meditation-based techniques. Benefits include increased sense of peace and connection, an ability to experience that you are not your difficult states and thought processes, mental and emotional clarity and an improved relationship with and understanding of yourself.
Other forms that influence my work include narrative therapy, solutions-focused coaching and therapy, mindfulness and mindfulness-based forms like Compassion-Based Therapy. We’ll discover your goal, your reasons and purpose for wanting it, and we’ll find the methods and practices that suit you best. We’ll find the mix and balance that works for you.
I’m also certifying in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and continue training in meditation and Buddhist Psychology.
At the moment, I offer sessions online only, though this may change in future.
