My life so far can be characterized by a lot of change. I lived in various countries throughout my childhood and studies. Changes kept coming but on different levels, landing in Berlin around 15 years ago. Paradoxically, until that point, I had never seen the alps. Still, I lost my heart to climbing around the same time. Since then, climbing and bouldering as a practice has been a rock in this ever changing life to me. I want to share this practice with you and offer a safe space to confront fears and to experience how our minds can play tricks on us which you may not have to believe in any longer... I am German and fluent in English. I have lots of experience working with people from various backgrounds.
I am a qualified experiential trainer and systemic therapist licensed to secure clients while climbing. I work with various active and experiential methods to make your thoughts and feelings come visible and alive. We usually start our sessions in my Practice Room in Kreuzberg, Berlin. We can see from there if single sessions in the nearby climbing halls (Bouldergarten for climbing, Boulderklub for bouldering) suit the process on your path of finding solutions to your problems. It is not at all necessary to be experienced in bouldering or climbing for doing a session with me. As a trained systemic therapist I use methods from following approaches: ACT: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is an approach that helps detecting and understanding avoiding behaviour and to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life. EFT: Emotionally focused therapy is an approach to strengthen emotional connections in relationships by exploring feelings and attachment. Systemic therapy is an approach that helps to understand how environments influence ones behavior and emotions, particularly within family or organizational systems. Experiential methods: "The mountains speak for themselves" - lets take action at the climbing wall, experience and maybe reflect upon what it tells you about what you need in everyday life.
