I´m fascinated by: people, sickness, recovery, healing. I´m very curious in humans themselves (hence, my medical interest). Hearing about how people deal with things, thrive, grow, even after trauma, and create their own personal universes that make them happy – and then you talkt o the next person that has a totally different view of what´s worth living and would never ever want to swap lives with anyone.
Not only the strengths and human resilience interests me, I also take great interest in the process of the creation of trauma, the process of how suffering is initiated, builds up. The aspect here is that I like to analyse this process, in order to discover the pitfalls of that process. I want to find and to reveal weak spots - because then we can try to find a way of repairing them. Or avoid them the next time. Or learn from them. Whatever is constructive-minded fort hat individual person. I don´t need tob e a teacher here and be the oneto tell someone what´s best here, I´d rather support people climbing that hill of their own. Then, selfsame, the circle is closeded to my fascination and deep respect of how people react to trauma, live with or solve their problems, and how resources of any kind may be helpful – or may fail.
Therapy is just another word for an encounter with someone you trust, someone eho listens to what is on your mind, and helps you recapitulate certain things, outline things for you. Talking about your live and what affects you is the healthiest thing to do. I will listen to you so you can find out something you haven´t known about yourself.
Things I believe in:
What you stress about is what you care about.
Honesty needs timing and good will.
Always aiming for: authenticity.
Humor!
It´s equally important to know our strengths as well as our weaknesses.
Empathy shows up in handling the experiences of others respectfully.
