Originally from the United States, I've spent half my life living abroad in Japan, South Korea, and now Germany. With a mixed heritage background, I empathize with the challenges of the international and immigrant experience.

Formerly, I was an Expressive Arts educator with a Reggio Emilia-inspired philosophy, focusing on Social-emotional Education and advocating for Anti-Racist & Anti-Bias practices. I now hold certification in counseling and I've transitioned to focusing on mental health support, allowing me to dedicate more time and attention to individuals and families with complex needs.

As a queer practitioner, I approach my work from an intersectional feminist perspective. I place great importance on the mind-body-spirit connection and practice self-care through yoga and social justice advocacy.

Inspired by the positive impact in my own life, I hold certifications in children's, teen's, adult, and trauma-informed yoga instruction, as well as eco-therapeutic guidance.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Trauma Informed CareRecommended for those who have experienced trauma and need a safe, supportive space to heal at their own pace.
✤ 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 & 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀
I work through a method of social-emotional regulation and emotional literacy. This will look and be different for every child and may mean that counseling is not always done through back and fourth verbal communication—It will be an artistic one. It can be within visual arts, movement, and sensorial experiences that children can and will communicate deeply about their feelings and ideas.

Specialties:

-Learning support, developmental or academic
-Neurodiversity support (ADHD or autism)
-Emotional regulation and emotional literacy support
(ex: a change in family dynamics or big life changes)
-Targeting conscious and sub-conscious healing from social biases and systematic oppression that are directly connected to your child's/family’s identifiers
(For ex: exposure to homophobia, racism, and/or ablism)

✤ 𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀
Combining cognitive behavioral approaches and systems theory- we engage in dialogue and through a creative and conversational process. Through our work together, we set goals and work on how to apply strategies so you can feel more in control of managing your problems by uncovering more constructive ways to think and behave.

*Please note the my method is holistic for a 360 degree approach to care, doing art or doing yoga for example will never be mandatory if you are feeling uncomfortable to do so. They only just offers and resources available to you.

Specialties:
-Supporting people experiencing professional burn-out
(particularly specialized in working with educators)
-Navigating an adult diagnosis of ADHD or autism
-Issues of self-worth , self-love, and self-esteem
-Navigating the stressors of systematic oppression.
(Especially if you are navigating your queerness and gender expression)
-People who are experiencing cultural fatigue and loneliness
-Trauma-informed practices to empower your own self-soothing skills
