“ What matters most is what is happening, with whom it is happening, how it is happening, when it is happening, how one feels about what is happening, and especially, what are the consequences of what is happening.”
― Erving Polster,
We are always in relationship. I see life as movement in relationship.
I was born and raised in Germany to Polish Parents. Reflecting on my families history I am being confronted with questions of Identity and Belonging. In my life I moved between Germany and Poland. I have been raised speaking 3 languages: Polish, German and English. My current work as psychologist with multicultural families provides me valuable insights into complex dynamics and the stressors connected to migration. I have further experience working on: divorce, separation, autism in children, school absence, child neglect, emotional development and single parenting.
Before that, I worked with chronically ill individuals, where I gained experience in crisis management. Additionally I developed an understanding of the human aspects of social isolation, particularly concerning the stigma surrounding double diagnoses.
After having graduated from Psychology, I knew I would like to become a Gestalt-therapist. Interviewing Gestalt-therapists for my Master Thesis , I felt something very immediate about them, which inspired me. The holistic approach, which focuses on contact, sensitizing your awareness for the present moment and accepting what is going on in your life as part of you, responsibility and self-support, has become the foundation of my work.
