Hi there!
I am Kyra, a psychologist originally from Hamburg, bilingual in German and English.
I studied psychology in the Netherlands and the UK, holding a bachelor’s and master’s degree. Currently, I’m completing my second master’s in clinical psychology, driven by a deep passion for supporting people through life’s challenges.
Before becoming a psychologist, I worked in sales and procurement. During that time, I saw how many people struggle silently with stress, self-doubt, and everyday pressures without seeking or receiving the support they need. That realisation pushed me to change my path and dedicate myself to helping others studying first organisational and later clinical psychology.
My experience is primarily in helping young adults with anxiety, low mood, perfectionism, procrastination, relationship struggles, and coping with loss. I have a special interest in perfectionism and its connection to mental health, having written my bachelor’s and master’s theses on its links to disorders like depression and OCD.
Having lived in London, the Netherlands, and Australia, I understand how challenging it can be to build a life away from home. Adapting to new cultures, creating meaningful connections, and finding a sense of belonging can be overwhelming. I am happy to support you going through this time.
I truly believe that self-reflection and vulnerability are powerful tools for growth. Each person’s journey is unique, and there is no “right” way to go through life’s ups and downs. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported—where we can work together to navigate whatever comes your way.
