My approach

I offer a non-judgmental, empathetic and authentic counselling relationship. My practice is built on my personal experience (of life challenges and over 25 years in international business), as well as my professional training. Education

Lewisham Counselling & Counsellor Training Associates (LC&CTA): Level 5 Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (Person-Centered; Distinction). Birkbeck College, University of London: Certificate of Higher Education in Counselling and Counselling Skills (Psychodynamic; Distinction). Counselling Tutor: Online & Telephone Counselling Certification (Mapped to BACP and ACTO competence framework requirements). Renaissance Horizon UK CiC / Level 4 Certificate in Ethical Counselling in Substance Misuse

Experience

I have been working as a counsellor in private practice since 2021, following work in an south London counselling agency and a sixth-form college. I also work as a Personal and Professional Development group facilitator for counsellors in training, and have been a tutor on a counselling skills course. Prior to counselling, I had a career as an international business consultant, working with government and corporate clients, with a focus on strategy and risk in China. I have experience as a business owner, company director, and charity trustee. Outside of work, I enjoy walking with my dog in nature, meditating, practicing tai chi and yoga, and running.
