Simply put, it is to understand the origins of the negative emotion (e.g. Anxiety, Anger, Depression, Shame, Guilt, Jealousy etc,.) and the underlying unhealthy beliefs that cause this. A healthier belief set is built and exercises are used to fundamentally shift the way clients thin.
I also help clients develop resilience and tools (e.g. managing thoughts, breathing techniques and mindfulness) to help relax.
The first steps are to listen, fully understand you as a person, then assess your emotions and problems. Together, we agree clear goals and work to meet these through straight talking, some challenge and homework.
