I believe that great therapy is the result of a strong therapeutic relationship in combination with the ability to provide effective and compassionate treatment. Each person seeking therapy deserves to find a therapist they connect with and trust. My goal is that every client will leave therapy with the ability to manage the concerns and challenges that initially motivated them to seek treatment.
I believe in a client-centred approach where client and therapist decide the direction of each session collaboratively and formulate a treatment plan together. My counselling technique integrates a variety of approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy, schema work, mindfulness and therapeutic creative activities.
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) treats psychological difficulties by modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviours and cognitions. It is a solution-focused approach that encourages clients to challenge distorted thoughts and change destructive, self-defeating behavioural patterns.
