About me

Originally from Slovakia, I’ve lived and worked in the Czech Republic and Spain. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology and have been certified by the Czech and Spanish Ministry of Health to practice in healthcare. My experience includes work as 24/7 phone mental health support, psychologist and psychotherapist in clinical settings, and mental health counsellor. I am trained in a group psychoanalytic psychotherapy and have additional training in solution-focused and narrative approaches. I have been supporting international university students and adults through various formats—running college counselling centres, coordinating mental health services for employee assistance programs (EAP) across several countries, and continuing to provide psychotherapy within those networks.

Today, I focus on individual and group therapy dealing with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, emotional problems, relationship or work-related stress. My approach is integrative and tailored—I don’t offer one-size-fits-all advice, but instead work with each client to uncover what truly resonates for them. I aim to help people navigate their unique context and challenges, find greater clarity and emotional balance, and build a more fulfilling life on their own terms.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CounsellingRecommended for those who want to talk through their emotional challenges with a professional in a safe, supportive environment.
PsychoanalysisRecommended for those who want to explore how their unconscious mind and early experiences affect their current behaviors and feelings.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.

Over the years, I’ve learned that therapy often unfolds differently than theory—and that every client brings a unique story. While my core orientation is psychodynamic, especially helpful for long-standing and recurring emotional struggles, I also draw from other approaches like systemic and cognitive-behavioural therapy when needed.

At the start of therapy, we clarify what you're hoping to gain—and I’ll also share what I expect as your therapist. A strong, trusting relationship is central to the work. Trust isn’t automatic; it’s earned and built over time, and I believe it’s the foundation for meaningful, lasting change.

I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, low self-esteem, emotional regulation, relationship and family difficulties, and psychosomatic symptoms.
