In sessions I use elements of various therapeutic techniques, including those from cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness and more. The reason for this is that every client is different and an approach that may work for one person may not work for somebody else. Therefore, I practice a client-centered approach, whereby I adapt my treatment style according to the client’s needs, therapy goals, and the nature of their complaints.
Some things that I do keep constant regardless of the client is my evidence-based treatment approach. This means that the treatment techniques that I use are proven to be effective by large scale clinical research studies. I also place high importance on collaboration and a healthy therapeutic relationship. It is my firm belief that a client-therapist relationship based on mutual trust and respect is essential for a successful therapy outcome. We work together with my client to find appropriate solutions and implement them in the client’s life. I cannot provide you with the right answers but you can think of me as a guide in your life journey, accompanying you and helping you choose the right paths towards a happy and meaningful life.
