About me

My passion lies in psychotherapy, which began with my exploration of meditation and yoga. The ancient wisdom of yoga and meditation led me to delve into the modern science of understanding human experiences, culminating in my Master’s in Gestalt Psychotherapy.

For me, psychotherapy transcends mere work—it’s a way of life. After countless hours spent with teachers, supervisors, clients, and experiencing the methods I work with firsthand, I can confidently say that I embody Gestalt principles. My mission involves expanding awareness, living fully in the present, embracing self-acceptance, and fostering self-love.

As a seasoned meditation practitioner, I’ve participated in numerous retreats lasting several weeks, following the Chan Buddhist tradition. Additionally, I’ve explored Christian contemplative practices. My background includes three years of yoga education, including an intensive course at S-VYASA Yoga University in Bengaluru, India, and over a decade of teaching yoga.

I find beauty and wisdom in Eastern traditions, which I incorporate into my daily life through meditation practice and the art of preparing and sharing tea (Gong Fu Cha). Simultaneously, I honor my Western roots by delving into science-based knowledge to deepen my understanding of the human mind. 🌿🍵

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Gestalt therapyRecommended for those who want to focus on the present and take responsibility for their feelings and actions to promote personal growth.
MindfulnessMindfulness is the process of maintaining a purposeful moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surrounding environment.

My therapeutic approach centers around exploring the fundamental sense of safety within clients' bodies and finding accessible ways to reestablish a secure connection with their physical selves.

Alongside the Gestalt approach, I use Compassionate Inquiry (a psychotherapeutic approach created by Dr. Gabor Maté) to gently help my clients uncover and release layers of childhood trauma, constriction, and suppressed emotions embedded in the body—issues that lie at the root of mental and physical illness and addiction.

As a therapist, I see myself as an empathetic observer. By maintaining neutrality, calmness, and equanimity, I aim to create a relational container that holds the client's experiences. Decades of personal practice in yoga and meditation provide me with stability and a strong sense of presence, enabling me to fulfill this role.

Both Gestalt therapy and Compassionate Inquiry emphasize the importance of being fully present, exploring emotions, and fostering self-awareness. By liberating ourselves from limiting narratives, we open up to spontaneity, choice, expansion, and growth.🌿🌟
