As a therapist and supervisor, I strive to maintain warmth, kindness, authenticity, empathy, and well-defined boundaries in all aspects of my professional life. My goal is to be a supportive and nurturing figure for both my clients and supervisees, allowing them to experience corrective experiences within the therapeutic relationship. Through our work together, my clients can develop the necessary skills to overcome obstacles and lead more fulfilling lives.
I see the person as a whole and use emotional, cognitive, behavioral techniques, as well as body-oriented techniques that are particularly important for things that happened very early in childhood, before we could understand reality. My approach involves exploring the past in a way that helps us understand how certain cognitive and behavioral patterns, which are present today, were developed in childhood and adolescence. The essence is to understand when and why the patterns/schemas and coping mechanisms were created, why and how clients maintain them today, and to work towards change.
My expertise lies in working with adults who experience challenges related to anxiety, depression, anger, relationships, personality disorders, trauma, low self-esteem, and stress.
I see the client as a collaborator in the therapeutic process, and from the first moment, therapy is a collaboration. The client is informed about everything that happens in the session, and together we decide on techniques, goals, and more.
The therapeutic relationship is my main tool as a psychotherapist, and I tailor my sessions to what is needed in the moment for each client. I blend elements from various therapeutic methods, such as Schema Therapy, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and Body psychotherapy. My interests also include working with trauma and complex trauma using approaches from experts such as Babette Rothschild, Janina Fisher, Bessel van der Kolk, Gabor Maté, Stephen Porges, and more.
