I professionally support individuals and couples in a non-pathologizing and feedback-informed manner so that the changes are longed for become possible.
About me
As an open-minded and empathic psychotherapist, curious and containing, I professionally support and guide people in finding their own ways back to themselves, following the trailheads that may be experienced as anxiety, depression, trauma related symptoms (self-criticism, intense anger, addiction, etc.), chronic pain, PTSD. I offer a safe and nonjudgmental space where together we collaborate to make the changes you need and long for.
I'm an authorized psychologist (21-26661), psychotherapist and PhD in Psychology, working in private practice in Copenhagen (Denmark) and online with individuals and couples.
My approach
Each of us has an innate system aimed at healing ourselves. The therapeutic process is not only about addressing the wounded parts or the pain, but also about accessing the inner resources that every person has inside – curiosity, clarity, courage, confidence, calm, creativity, ability to connect, and compassion - in the safe and non-judgmental space that I offer.
I treat every client in a non-pathologizing (meaning that the emphasis is not on the diagnosis) and personalized way, with care and deep respect for their uniqueness and boundaries. Having a feedback-informed practice, I encourage transparent communication with my clients regarding what works or doesn't work for them in the therapeutic process. In this way, you are invited to give voice to all parts of yourself, including the ones that are worried, concerned, annoyed, afraid, or insecure.
Every therapeutic process is tailored around your needs, longings, and fears, with great empathy, sensitivity, attention, and professionalism. My approach is humanistic, experiential, and integrative, using therapeutic methods from EFT (emotionally focused therapy), expressive therapies, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), IFS (Internal Family Systems) and dance/movement psychotherapy (check my Credentials for more details).
In the first session we will clarify together the goals and directions which we want to aim for. Together we will create a “map” of the big changes and turning points in your life and explore what change means and feels like to you. We will also tackle some aspects of your relationship history and attachment, depending on what is relevant to your therapeutic goals and needs.
