About me

Hello! My name is Artūrs, I'm a practicing Clinical & Health Psychologist (reg. no. 3001386), Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (in training) and Gender, Sexuality & Relationship Diversity (GSRD) Affirmative Therapist (in training). I'm currently living in Riga, Latvia. Feel free to use pronouns he/she/they when referring to me. My devotion to psychology and psychotherapy can be tracked back to my childhood when I began to express my fascination with people, as well as my own experience with mental health. I enjoyed listening to and comforting those around me in emotional pain. Later on, the constant curiosity for the depth and variety of human feelings, thoughts and behaviours has been my inspiration to become a specialist in the mental health field. I know how vital is having somebody who can make you feel safe, understood, supported and be there for you throughout the challenging journey. Besides providing therapy, psychological assessments, leading support groups and educational seminars, in the days free from work, I prefer to unwind by trying out new recipes, enjoying complex board games and taking part in social activism.
