For almost 15 years, I have been providing therapy to adolescents and adults in New York, San Francisco, and Amsterdam.
After years as a business consultant, I first began my studies as a therapist in 2011 in New York and along the way earned a PhD from UC-Berkeley as well as became a psychotherapist in the US. (In the Netherlands, I am considered a psychologist/NIP psycoloog). During this time, I've worked with a variety of people: from those living in a refugee camp to those in drug and alcohol rehabilitation and recovery to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as people experiencing anxiety, depression, dissatisfaction, and unfulfillment in their lives and relationships.
I have seen firsthand how stories lie at the heart of healing our trauma, rediscovering self-love, and connecting with others, in order to come back to our wholeness.
I regularly give lectures and trainings on self-care, mindfulness, and emotion awareness for therapists and nonprofits.
