She holds numerous credentials and certifications, and has had over 48 years of professional experience.   She specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, loss, and attachment repair. Ms. Goodell has the depth and breadth of experience derived from working comprehensively with children, adolescents and their families. She originally was a teacher, became a guidance counselor, and is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Although she has extensive experience and education in many psychotherapeutic approaches, she has practiced EMDR regularly and is Certified and an Approved Consultant in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and also is a staff member as a Facilitator at EMDR trainings. For several years Susan volunteered as the San Diego County EMDR International Association Regional Coordinator. She is very passionate about EMDR, having witnessed multiple clients experience profound changes in their lives. She now is the coordinator of the San Diego Trauma Recovery Network (TRN). .
