I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy tools to understand what is happening now, paying attention to thoughts, feelings (physical and emotional) and actions. I use Psychodynamic thinking to explore past experiences and identify ways of thinking, patterns of behaviour, adverse traumatic experiences that have contributed to how we feel and function in the present. I utilise motivational interviewing to identify what changes you might like to make and how this could be achieved.
What working with me could look like
- What is happening for you in the present
- How did your past experiences shape who you have become
- What do you want your future to look like
- What tools, experience do you have that can help
- How can you offer yourself, empathy, compassion and grace
- How can you accept the things you cannot control but exercise your agency to achieve your goals.
