I’m a Portuguese psychologist with over a decade of experience, working in the social and mental health sector in Brussels during 10 years, with both French and English speaking people. Today, I’m thrilled to call Portugal my new home again.
My work and life in Brussels has led me to specialise in issues relating to immigration and traumas. Like no other, I understand the unique challenges of living abroad, loneliness, identity questions, and how it can impact your emotions, relationships, and overall well-being.
Due to my professional and personal experience, I'm particularly keen of working with an immigrant/expat population. My master's degree was obtained through an in-dept study on bi-cultural couples, their challenges, fragilities, and, of course, strengths: "So, what's for dinner tonight?" Agreement and decision-making in bicultural couples.
