Gestalt Therapy is a phenomenological-existential psychotherapy, influenced by Holism, Humanism, Gestalt Psychology, Organismic Theory, Zen Buddhism and other currents of knowledge. It was created by Fritz S. Perls and Laura P. Perls, in the 1950s, with the intention of constituting a new psychotherapeutic proposal.
For Gestalt-therapy, man is a being of choice. When realizing that existence is constructed by itself, the result of its own choices, the notion of responsibility is established in human beings: from a “character” or actor, man becomes the author of his own history, being free , at every moment, to tread another path.
In the view of the GT, the human being is seen as a phenomenon that encompasses bio-psycho-socio-spiritual dimensions, not as a sum of aspects, but as a whole, a new event that configures itself, at every moment, as a person indivisible, with all its dimensions, in a half-organism field relationship.
As a therapist, I seek to integrate in my clinic all my experience in different segments of psychology with the passionate and eternally curious look that I have for human experiences, to provide quality services and love for the practice of caring for Human Beings.
