Hello, it's great to have you here. I'm Samara, I was born and lived in Brazil for most of my life and that's why my services take place in Portuguese, where I feel completely free to practice my profession with excellence. I'm a psychologist (2003), graduated from the University of Vale do Itajaí 20 years ago. I completed my Master's (2008) and Ph.D. (2016) at the Federal University of Rio Grande, and through a scholarship offered by CAPES, I finished my doctorate at the University of Minho in Portugal. My professional career has been built within Clinical Psychology and Educational Psychology, working in private practice and as a lecturer, teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate courses at universities, as well as conducting courses and participating in the training of healthcare and education professionals.
Living in Portugal in 2015 and now residing in Germany since 2017 has enriched my professional journey beyond cultural experiences and academic events. With my move to Germany, I started providing online therapy sessions and have since been able to develop a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by expatriates, thus strengthening my multicultural listening, empathy, and ability to help. Through my work, I aim to offer psychological support, share knowledge, and strategies for a better quality of life.
Despite the uniqueness experienced by each patient in the country they reside in, when seeking therapy, everyone shares a common goal: finding a professional who speaks their own language, enabling them to express their essence and concerns more clearly, with the certainty of being fully understood.
