I hold a degree in psychology from Dublin City University along with a diploma in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). As a member of both the PSI (Psychological Society of Ireland) and ACTO (Association for Counseling and Online Therapy), I bring a diverse background to my practice. I also write a weekly advice column for the Sunday Business Post, https://www.businesspost.ie/layla-voll-collins/
Previously, I've ventured into the realms of music and preschool education. However, my passion for understanding individuals on a deeper level led me to pursue therapy. I firmly believe in the uniqueness of every individual, cherishing the opportunity to explore their narratives. Within the therapeutic relationship, I see immense potential for transformative change.
My approach is collaborative, tailored to the unique needs of each client. Drawing from a spectrum of modalities, including person-centered therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I ensure a comprehensive and adaptable framework.
Currently, I'm engaged in supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and languages through an EAP program. Here, I offer guidance and assistance both in their professional endeavors and personal journeys.
