Music therapy uses a flexible approach around the needs of the client. In sessions music is used in various ways to support my client. Whether through activities such as listening, singing, relaxation meditation or song-writing. Some sessions may have no music at all.
In my work I draw on psychodynamic thinking, understanding more of what is going on underneath the surface of our lives. Understanding that different experiences have an effect on how we function successfully today.
Sessions do not require any musical skill, however a general enjoyment of music is helpful.
