I am an integrative psychotherapist, meaning I combine various schools of psychotherapy to address your specific needs.
I frequently employ elements of Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy (AEDT) in my work. This approach distils the most effective elements of psychodynamic therapy into a more targeted strategy to promote transformation, it emphasises our conscious and unconscious interactions with ourselves and others with an emphasis on the experiential – because just talking about things is not enough, there must be deeper embodiment of change that comes through feeling differently. This is a relatively directive approach, which means the therapist does not take a passive role and is actively engaged and collaborates in the process. I also employ other modalities as an integrative practitioner such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) - working with clients distinct ‘parts’, as well as sensorimotor practices, ACT, Mindfulness, and Gestalt chair work.
The quality of our therapeutic relationship remains a key element in the process, as I invite you to consider new perspectives, and potentially new ways of being, by creating space for inner experience. This process enables us to begin to trust in our own inner guidance, promoting self-awareness and self-acceptance, which are essential elements for growth and any transformative healing process.
