I am originally from Hungary, but in the last 15 years I have lived in the Netherlands and Switzerland. To get trained as a Jungian analyst, I left behind a vastly different career (IT), in which I have worked for 12 years in Amsterdam. This transition, and the preparation for it, took several years. That was a period riddled with uncertainties, having frequently asked myself whether I am just chasing something elusive. This experience informs my practice deeply; I find that everyone must go through such periods of unclarity, as that is the only way we can arrive at ourselves.
Having lived for nearly 20 years away from my home country makes me keenly aware of the difficulties of an expat life. I am especially sensitive to the collective pressures our societies exert (native or adopted), and to the deep necessity of differentiating the ancestral and spiritual cues that come from within.
