About this event

Join us for an evening with Eva Virc:

Therapy works, and we usually describe why in the vocabulary of whichever school we were trained in. Here we will take a different route.

Phenomenology is the study of experience as it is lived, from the inside, before we explain it through theory. It asks how a person inhabits space and time, how they live in their body, how another person shows up for them. Applied to therapy, it gives us a way of describing what is happening that does not belong to any single school.

I will describe the structure at work during the therapeutic process and the mechanisms by which it shifts: what speech does before it communicates the content, what happens in the space between two people, and how a person's relation to time, body and world changes over the course of therapy.

There will be an interactive part to bring some of these ideas to life; and as always: plenty of time to mingle, have a snack and a drink, and connect with fellow therapists. 🥂

Please arrive on time, the presentation starts at 18:00 sharp 😉

We have limited spots available, so just keep in mind that an RSVP means taking one of the spots. If your plans change, no worries at all: just update your RSVP or let me know! 💛
