My approach is based on the client-centered and emotion centered therapy. I integrate these scientifically proven approaches and maintain a holistic view of body and mind. This means that I pay attention to the whole of you: your body, your feelings, your thoughts and your relationships.
A lot of therapists, including myself, have been captivated by the way of working with Emotionally Focussed Therapy by Sue Johnsen: with focus on emotions and attachment style, we can restore the connection within one person and between two people.
Adding client-centered therapy results in therapy in which the therapeutic relationship is a safe homebase. This brings unconditional acceptance and authenticity from both client and therapist. Understanding of (internal) communication and processes, underlying emotions and desires, and the believe in your own restorative power is the perfect recipe for growth.
In my work with couples we will identify problematic patterns and dynamics in your relationship, so that we establish a stronger, emotional connection in your relationship. This will make your foundations even stronger and let you grow as a couple.
