Hello and welcome — I'm Agnieszka Golas, a BACP-registered therapist with a deep passion for helping people find clarity, confidence, and inner peace during life's most challenging times.
My journey into counselling began not just with formal training, but with a deep personal calling to support others in navigating emotional pain, inner conflict, and moments of transformation. Today, I bring over 4,000 hours of professional counselling experience, having worked with clients from all walks of life — from students and professionals to parents, couples, creatives, and trauma survivors.
Since launching my private practice in 2022, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and groups across the UK and Europe, including expats adjusting to new cultures, navigating identity changes, and managing long-distance relationships or isolation. This international perspective has shaped my approach to be truly inclusive, flexible, and attuned to the unique realities of modern life. Whether you’re navigating burnout in Berlin, grief in Glasgow, or anxiety in Athens — I’m here to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and compassion.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Counselling and a Level 4 Counselling Diploma, and I continue to expand my knowledge through ongoing training and supervision. I work fluently in both English and Polish, and I’m proud to offer neurodiversity-affirming therapy — supporting clients with ADHD, autism, and other diverse ways of thinking and feeling.
Before going into private practice, I had the opportunity to work with several highly regarded organisations:
Phoenix Women’s Aid – Empowering women recovering from domestic abuse
Bradford Bereavement Support – Supporting those processing deep personal loss
Evolving Minds – Working with clients around anger, anxiety, addiction, and emotional regulation
Haven Wolverhampton – Conducting trauma-informed assessments and safety planning for individuals in crisis
Each of these roles deepened my understanding of human resilience, vulnerability, and growth. They also reinforced my belief that healing is not only possible — it’s transformational when someone feels genuinely seen, heard, and supported.
I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy. You are the expert on your life — my role is to create a safe space for exploration, offer insight, and support you in reconnecting with your strengths and values. My clients often tell me they feel “lighter,” “more grounded,” and “more themselves” after our sessions — and that’s exactly what I aim for.
So whether you're feeling lost, overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or simply ready for a change — I’m here to help you uncover what’s next.
Therapy with me is not about fixing what's "wrong" with you — it's about understanding who you are, what's shaped you, and how we can work together to help you feel more empowered, confident, and at peace.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, which means I draw from several well-established modalities — including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) — and adapt them to suit you as an individual. There's no rigid structure or judgement here — just space for honesty, reflection, and real change.
I also believe therapy should feel practical and hopeful. While we can explore the past and make sense of how your early experiences may still influence you today, the heart of our work will focus on where you are now and where you want to go. Together, we'll build tools that help you cope with life's challenges more effectively, break free from self-limiting patterns, and reconnect with what truly matters to you.
Clients come to me with a wide range of concerns — and you don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. Whether you're feeling anxious, lost, stuck, burned out, or simply want to understand yourself more deeply, you are welcome here.
I specialise in supporting people with:
Anxiety, stress, and panic
Depression and low self-esteem
Narcissistic abuse
PTSD and complex trauma (CPTSD)
Grief, bereavement, and life transitions
Relationship difficulties and family conflict
Eating disorders and body image issues
Career struggles, academic stress, and decision-making
Expat life adjustment, cultural identity, and isolation
Neurodivergent experiences (ADHD, autism)
In our work together, you'll be met with compassion, clarity, and curiosity. I provide a space where you can explore your inner world safely — a space that's non-judgmental, open, and responsive to your unique pace and personality.
I also offer more structured support when needed, including:
Single-session therapy for immediate or urgent concerns
Crisis support and short-term interventions
Risk assessment and personalised safety planning
Collaboration with other professionals or family members (with consent)
Ultimately, I see therapy as an invitation — not just to heal from the past, but to grow into the version of yourself that feels most aligned, grounded, and whole.
We'll talk, reflect, and problem-solve — but more than anything, we'll create a therapeutic relationship that helps you feel safe, seen, and supported. And from that foundation, real change becomes possible.
