I’m originally from New Zealand, but I’ve spent the past 15 years living in Vietnam, the Netherlands, and France. I’ve worked with adults with ADHD for 25 years, and I’m married to an endearingly chaotic Canadian with ADHD -we’ve been together nearly a decade and have two young children.
These experiences have given me a real appreciation for both the joys and challenges that ADHD can bring to relationships, especially when you add kids and different cultures into the mix. I’m passionate about helping others navigate these ups and downs with empathy, understanding, practical tools and a bit of humour along the way.
I have a background in many different areas of psychology. I have done extensive training with Gottman Method Couples Therapy as I think its clear, flexible approach is such a good fit for individuals with ADHD. I combine this with EFT and ACT therapy and a number of very practical, science based tools.
Working with couples with ADHD means I need to be very flexible in terms of my approach - one size never fits all :)
