I provide Jungian analysis, psychotherapy and counselling. I have many years of professional and volunteering working experience with ‘talking cure’, sound knowledge of holistic perspective of the world and various traditional and modern methods of healing.
I love to work with people and help them expand their perspective. I have run a small business in communications in Netherlands and then in Slovenia, before I thoroughly dedicated to psychological work and humanistic methods.
Next to Jungian analysis, which I find very wholesome, I am competent in arts- related work since 2002. I provide courses in Mindfulness according to MBSR (Mindfulness-based stress reduction) and MCBT (Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy) standards.
In working process I am dedicated, proffesional, confident and provide anonymity acording to the Slovenian law of personal data protection (ur.l. RS št. 86/04), I work according to ethical codex of IAAP.
Membership and involvement in psychotherapeutic organisation: SZAP – Slovenian Society for Analytical Psychology (Slovensko združenje za analitično psihologijo) – member IAAP – International Association for Analytical Psychology – individual member ESTD – European Society for Trauma and Dissociation – member I am also an active member of Society for Midfulness development, where I am member of ethical tribunal.
I work in Slovene in English. I have a good but slightly more passive knowledge of Croatian and Dutch language.
Here I describe my mission and service in the first part and the logistics of 'how I work' in the second part.
How I work - my mission and service:
I help people find the boundary between what they need to change and what they need to accept - and then help them do just that. I love to support people on their path towards empowering themselves with loving but relentless honesty. I believe that making things conscious is a big step, but after that we need to embody what we want to become.
Balance is needed as theory is not enough, but furious activity is no substitute for understanding. I belive in power of presence, process and psychoeducation.
I am Slovenian-born but I understand most of the different European cultures as I have lived in Europe for 15 years (Dutch, British, Slavic, German and other specific cultures).
How I work - the logistics:
If we are meeting for counselling, the time-table can be flexible.
However - for palpable results of psychoanalysis and long-term therapy the fixed setting is needed. Discipline helps us for the unconscious patterns to be recognised and addressed.
First few sessions are specifically designed to explore the possible working alliance. The purpose of this is for me to see if I can help you - and for you to become familiar with my way of working. Shortly: for us to see if we are compatible. After these sessions (up to four) I expect -and offer- commitment and regularity.
Both counselling and therapeutic sessions last 45-50 minutes. No sessions are free unless agreed in advance. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy and payment policy which will be discussed in the introductory sessions.
