I am originally from the USA and have been living as an expat for over 26 years. I currently provide services to couples and individuals online and at my private practices in Munich and Berlin.
Before moving to Germany, I worked as a registered psychologist in Sydney, Australia in my own private practice and taught courses at UWS and UNSW. In the USA, I received my BA and MA in psychology and worked in treatment facilities for children, adolescents and adults as well as teaching psychology courses at universities.
I specialise with working with clients struggling with anxiety, stress and relationship concerns and problems.
The foundation of my psychological training is in Humanistic Psychology. My philosophical framework is structured by Humanistic Theory (e.g., Carl Rogers, Abraham Maslow, Sidney Jourard) and Poststructuralist Theory (e.g., Michel Foucault, Nikolas Rose, Judith Butler). Humanistic Theory influences my therapeutic style, while Poststructuralist Theory influences my analytical assessment and approach. I do use various cognitive behavioural therapeutic techniques, particularly for those individuals that I feel will benefit from them.
