Our Contemplative Intervision Group, which meets on the first Sunday of every month, will have its June meeting on Sunday, the 14th of June, as our usual Sunday will be taken up with the It’s Complicated Conference. All therapists are welcome!
As Therapists our work is unique, making it difficult at times to share experiences and find resonance with family, friends or even colleagues. Traditional Intervision can often feel critical and disconnected.
Contemplative Intervision is about Therapists holistically attuning to one another, rather than the specifics of casework. The intention is for our experience to be received and attuned to as Therapists by other Therapists in a space of shared being rather than doing.
Everyone participating is invited to bring an issue, personal or related to practice, to share in small groups of no more than four. The group members then offer their experience of what was shared without judgment, analysis, solutions, theory, or fixes. Through this process a different, deeper sense of connection can arise.
The general feedback from participants after sessions is that the experience was something they needed that they didn’t know they needed.
If you’d like to be part of a growing community focused on connection and shared experience as a Therapist, come try it out.
