This is a free, weekly online reading group for mental health professionals devoted to the study of Lacanian theory. The focus is on accessible textual interpretation and clinically oriented reflection. No prior experience with Lacan is required, and the group is especially welcoming to those who have felt intimidated by his writing.
Sessions take place online on Saturdays at 15:00 CET and last one hour. Each meeting begins with a focused presentation of key concepts or structures, followed by close reading of selected passages and a clinically oriented discussion.
We are currently working on Jacques Lacan’s Seminar I. Book information can be found here. For those who prefer epub or PDF formats, all materials are available here (updated regularly).
Participants may join the WhatsApp Group for updates and logistical information. Watch previous sessions here.
This activity is hosted by Gustavo Faigenbaum, a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst with a Lacanian orientation. He holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires and a PhD in Philosophy from The New School for Social Research in New York. He has authored numerous scholarly articles in psychology and maintains a Spanish-language YouTube channel on psychology, philosophy, and psychoanalysis with more than 160,000 subscribers.
