About me

Hi! I’m Lena, a psychologist and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) therapist.

I believe therapy is most effective when it is built on trust, collaboration, and genuine human connection. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your experiences and feel supported in navigating life’s challenges.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and commitment therapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
Positive psychotherapyRecommended for those who want to focus on building strengths, increasing happiness, and enhancing their overall well-being, rather than just focusing on problems.

I work primarily with the ACT approach, a third-wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model that helps people develop psychological flexibility. Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or emotions, ACT focuses on changing our relationship with them, allowing us to make choices that align with our values and build a rich, meaningful life.

My areas of practice include anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, identity, and LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy. I also support people experiencing major life transitions, grief, migration, and the psychological impact of violence.

My work is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and culturally sensitive. I welcome adults from diverse backgrounds and strive to create an inclusive environment where each person’s unique experiences and values are respected.

Experience

I started working as a psychologist from 2022 in the shelter for parents and children. Where we mostly worked with refugees from Ukrain and local women who were survivors of domestic violence. Then, from 2023 I started also my private practice and started accepting clients from all over the world.
