About me
Hi, I’m Elise and I am a licensed clinical counsellor trained and educated in the US. For over a decade, I dedicated my life in Philadelphia to counselling individuals in a community mental health organisation. In 2021 I began living abroad in Brussels, then Berlin and now Copenhagen. Since becoming an expat myself, I’ve worked with organisations devoted to counselling those who live away from their home countries.
I have the privilege in my career of working with diverse populations. My specialisations include those living with and affected by chronic or terminal illnesses, people with substance concerns and the LGBTQIA+ community. I've also developed experience working with health anxiety and communication difficulties. Through this work, I have honed my skills in cognitive behavioural techniques and motivational interviewing. These techniques form the foundation of my practice, empowering you to make desired behavioural changes and gain mental clarity.
