I'm a psychotherapist (i.A.u.S.) with specialization in Psychoanalysis with 6+ years of working experience. I am based in Vienna, Austria. I speak Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian, English fluently, and Spanish.
My interest in psychotherapy, especially psychoanalysis, blossomed very early. As Friedrich Nietzsche said, "he who has a why to live can bear almost any how," and I was a curious child in the constant search of the 'why'. I was interested and still am in why people behave as they do.
My main expertise is female sexuality, and my specialization is trauma. During my education, I accomplished multiple internships. Furthermore, I worked with people suffering from different mental illnesses, from those suffering from addictions to those who committed crimes such as murders.
My approach
My approach is that "every human is a new world". I was raised in the psychoanalytic method (Freudian and Winnicottian). I believe in the 'talking cure'. Therefore, I support individuals living their truth by making the unconscious conscious. However, we humans are rather tricky creatures and only change if and when we want to.
Furthermore, 'to change' is not only overcoming the traumas, repressed memories, and everything scary that lays in your mental Pandora's box but also accepting the traits of your personality that you perceive as good and bad and becoming a healthier version of yourself with the worked through new knowledge. To adjust to change healthily, an individual must master self-awareness which we will cultivate in you by practicing, for example, the psychoanalytic technique of free association, dream analysis, and other psychotherapeutic techniques.
