About me

Asia is a London-trained, internationally experienced and accredited Creative Psychotherapist (MA, HCPC & BAAT). She has a master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy (University of Roehampton, London, 2016-19) and is currently completing a Certificate in Couples and Relationship Therapy (Gestalt Centre, London, 2023-). Asia holds 7+ years therapeutic experience at multiple international clinics, the National Health Service in London, educational settings and the charity sector. Asia has experience supporting teens, adults & couples. Alongside her psychotherapeutic work, Asia is also a mother and she brings the lived experience of matrescence and parenthood into her individual and couple’s work. Before becoming a psychotherapist, Asia spent over a decade in London’s education sector, developing learning, wellbeing and pastoral care systems. She worked across school leadership & staff development whilst supporting the needs of families and the wider community. Outside of work, Asia is an artist and surfer. She develops creative therapy workshops and believes in the transformative power of the arts.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Art therapyRecommended for those who feel more comfortable expressing emotions through creativity and want to explore their feelings through art rather than talking.
Person-centered approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.
Every person is unique and I believe in crafting a therapeutic experience that honours singularities. I recommend starting with a free, introductory call to help me establish your needs. Much of our work may involve exploratory conversations, deep listening, thinking, sharing and witnessing. My approach is integrative and I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities to tailor each session to your individual and evolving needs. Specifically, I use Psychodynamic, Gestalt, and Jungian therapeutic lenses. At times, I may also weave mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy approaches into sessions. As an Art Psychotherapist, I use artistic, experimental techniques such as embodied mark making, guided imagery and visualizations, and journaling prompts. Creative methods always follow the readiness and needs of the individual.
