About me
I've worked with people from several backgrounds both online and in-person, including athletes, older adults, children and deaf people. I have a natural curiosity for knowledge and helping others which led me to pursue a career in Psychology. Throughout my learning, besides the specialities listed, I've acquired competences in online therapy, LGBT intervention, education/tutoring and preparing/motivating people for their career moves.
I am a good listener but I won't shy away from intervening when needed. I value teamwork, honesty and one's own ideals and ambitions. Some of my main assets are resilience, patience and dedication. I am willing to work with all kinds of people, no matter what brought them to seek for professional help and I will be proud when you make progress. Empathy fuels my professional purpose.

My experience so far has led me to be a more casual and laid back professional, while preserving the natural ethical boundaries implied in a therapeutic relationship. I highly value my clients' comfort and expectations regarding therapy.
The same way my clients have goals, I also have goals of my own as a psychologist:
1) Psychoeducation - I want to capacitate and empower you through knowledge and mental resources you can use on your daily life;
2) Snowball improving - Therapy is not always a definitive treatment. I will strive so that this is a journey that will make you learn more about yourself and your request. Therapy should be one of many landmarks in your life that allowed you to achieve your goals. The same way a childhood event can snowball into our current lives, small but significant victories can snowball into achieving your long-term goals;
3) Working together - Therapy is dependent on both the therapist and the client. We will both do our best and I unconditionally trust that you are already doing your best, despite the fact that not all days are alike and despite the fact that you might benefit from outside help.
4) Integrative Adaptability - While most psychologists have certain frameworks they work with, many look into customizing their approches for each client. I trust an integrative framework and I will make sure the techniques I am using are aligned not only with your needs but also your desires.
5) Feedback - One of the most important aspects in any kind of relationship is feedback. If you desire, I will provide you with open moments where you can give me feedback about my contributions and our sessions. Your satisfaction in therapy is an integral part of your progress!
