About me

I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist (HCPC-UK, OPP-Portugal, CRP/SP-Brazil and I have the EuroPsy certificate) with a PhD in Neurosciences and extensive postdoctoral research in neuropsychiatry. My lifelong work integrates core insights into how trauma, alongside practices for emotional growth and self-development, impact the functioning of our brain and body. My approach bridges scientific knowledge with compassionate care, helping people move from survival strategies toward more fulfilling ways of being.

I chose to specialize in the therapeutic approaches that have been most meaningful in my own growth, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Pathwork, Somatic Experiencing (SE), and the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). My sessions are not merely “talk therapy,” because I have learned that the mind is not aware of it all. I bring in body-based awareness and relational exploration to access the deeper layers of experience that words alone cannot reach. My aim is to create a safe and collaborative environment where clients can process trauma, reduce anxiety, and reconnect with themselves in more authentic and fulfilling ways.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Somatic ExperiencingRecommended for those who want to use the mind-body connection to address the effects of trauma and restore natural regulation of the nervous system.
Trauma Informed CareRecommended for those who have experienced trauma and need a safe, supportive space to heal at their own pace.
My approach is trauma-informed and it integrates bottom-up and top-down methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Experiencing (SE®), and Neuroaffective Relational Moldel (NARM®, in training). My aim is to support you in processing trauma, reducing anxiety, and building an authentic relationship with yourself and others. My approach is shaped by my own self-work and ongoing development. Together, we can explore how to shift from survival strategies into more fulfilling ways of being, reconnecting with your body, boundaries, and sense of agency.

Sessions are a space to slow down, reconnect with the body, and explore survival strategies that once protected you but may now be limiting. Healing happens not just through insight, but also through presence and connection. I aim to meet each client where they are, supporting a shift from self-judgment to self-compassion, and from coping to thriving. Together, we explore how to move from reactivity into choice, from disconnection into deeper contact, with yourself, with others, and with life.
